Resolve to the Right
01:36
|

Another day I submit to waking up to get in line then fall asleep. Time moves on, you’re here then gone and it’s done. Hope I’m wrong. I’m getting out of this. Not waiting for some train I missed. If I can’t find it I’ll make it. Can’t have it? I’ll take it. I’m not playing your game again.

Shipwrecked
02:29
|

My heart keeps boiling the blood in my veins. They got what they wanted I’m still in the same place. Shipwrecked, lost and alone. Keep waving this flag ‘till I find my home. But some things never fall into place. Not when you try, just let time take its course. Well I’d rather try than die in this place. When my time's done I want to know that I tried my best to find my way back home. Hey, celebrate the fight or sink in vain.

Fragile, Fleeting Loves
02:04
|

You’ll say I’m not alone, not anymore. Taking a look back I knew I never was, but our hearts have spaces that can’t be filled with blood. These fragile, fleeting loves, whose threads can come undone in seconds. But, God, I’ll chance it.

Gun in My Hand

So this is where we fell apart. You moved towns away, but I had a change of heart. And so I take all of the blame for everything. It still haunts me how I had you here waiting while I got up and ran away. So this is where we fell apart. You moved towns away, but I had a change of heart. But here we are again, no closer to an end and that’s okay.

The Endless Loop
03:23
|

I don’t think that I could ever just let it go. The tension builds until I feel its grip on my throat. I ration each breath with both eyes closed, and never think of letting go ‘cause inside I know there is nothing left for me if I don’t hold them close. I’ll never let them get away. I think I’ve seen this place before. Yes, I’m sure. It’s all in front of me; the room without a key, the loop plays endlessly. But before my eyes open again I hope I’ve caught my breath, ‘cause in a moment I’ll feel its grip around my throat again.

Clarity
04:38

I thought that I could change, grow up/forget the way it feels to give up everything for just one shot, but I woke up today and knew that nothing’s changed. I tried to shake it but most times it’s all I’ve got. The plans I made/the things I’d say are over despite this last stand to break the silence. A different path, another way is all there’s left to find. Deprived myself of this clarity for so long I lost what’s in front of me. I tried self-help as the remedy, but found out I’m no good on my own. So glad you found your way. Try not to lose the pace. I’ve watched you fade more times than I could care to count. So close, yet far away, but this time you swear you’ll make it count but I can’t help to still have my doubts. The absence of traction, my mind slips away. What once brimmed with passion now drips with decay to the floor where my body and actions betray the will I once had but now fight to maintain. If I walk out the door will they all stay the same? Wake up, get up and try again. Lie down. Replay the day’s events. Lights out and let the night sink in, but this thought still goes through my head: I never wanted anything but to be happy where I am. Time goes on when you’re gone.
